Kasey at Design for Baby is featuring product review and giveaway of a Paputsi blanket!

The Dottie blanket will be given away to a lucky reader. Go to Design for Baby, and follow the instrutions posted to participate in the giveaway.

Good Luck!

Kasey did a review of the Cowboy blanket, backed with navy blue minky. Both she and her son loved it! I am very glad that they liked it as this was my first time offering the blanket with a navy blue back. The original blanket, with the pastel yellow minky back, can still be purchased. Check out what she had to say, here.

Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays all!

I am still working on a few last minute Christmas decorations.... Lola and Abby's stockings still need to be finished. I am hosting Christmas breakfast at my house this year. If it works out well I may be doing it every year. This year I am doing a waffle bar. There will be pecans, bananas, strawberries and chocolate chips, to make your own special Christmas waffle. I even got a mini waffle iron, just incase you can't commit to a large waffle. Can you tell I love waffles.... almost as much as I love hosting friends and family!

I will post pics, the day after Christmas.

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Trying my hand at painting.

I have always wanted to paint, but have been terrified of it. Yesterday I decided to bite the bullet, put my fears aside and, paint. I started out with something very simple.... and I loved it!

A black heart on a tan background...

Ignore Abby's kennel on the side...

More challenging projects to come!

WIP.... The "Hudson" Blanket and Rocket onesies!

This morning was quite a productive one. The little monters, a.k.a. Abby and Lola, went to the vet this morning. Abby hid under a chair the entire time. After leaving the vet, we all went though the drive through at the bank. Which freaked Abby out, prompting her to jump from the backseat to the tiny space under my legs.... you know, the space where the gas pedal is... and lay on the pedal. Thank goodness that as soon as she jumped over, I threw the car in park, so by the time she managed to wedge herself on the gas pedal, the car wasn't going to go anywhere. I immediately turned of the car flew open the door and coaxed her back into the backseat. After that adventure, I managed to make it home and start a few new things for the shop. One is an adorable blanket named for my best friends nephew, Hudson, the other is something I have never done before, appliqued onesies! The set will be a onesie and a matching burp cloth.

The blanket and matching bib are pinned inside out, the colors are much richer that pictured here. I am toying with adding a few washcloths to the onesie set, but haven't decided on that yet...

Tomorrow morning after yoga and a quick haircut, this will get finished a photographed (weather permitting). I am hoping to have them added to the shop by tomorrow, Wednesday at the latest.

'Cause big dogs need love too!!!

I have two big ol' dogs.... A black and tan Doberman and a black Lab, Lola (Dobe) and Abby (Lab).
Lola loves to wear collars. On many occasions she'll wear more than one, because if you buy a new one she jumps up and down until you put it on her... even though she already has one on. She prances around the house in her two collars... it's really quite hilarious.
When I lived up north (Portland, ME), I had no problem finding cute inexpensive collars for her.
(she was the only dog I owned at the time). However, when I moved back home (New Orleans), it was much more difficult to find cute collars, that didn't cost an arm and a leg.
So you know what I did???

I made them myself!

Aren't they cute?!?! I am considering opening a second Etsy shop for them.

Yesterday, I made a list of things that I needed to accomplish today... and while I didn't get everyting done, I did manage to get a few things accomplished.

The Whales are finished! After waiting so patiently on my cutting table, the "Whale Bib and Burp Cloth Set" is complete! I haven't listed it yet in the shop. Hopefully I'll have it up by tomorrow.

Isn't it so cute, you could just eat it up?!?!? I love the green water swirls coming out of the spout. It's hard to see in the pic, but they're there... and they're cute!

I managed to email Celeste from "Etsy it Up", the pics and description for the "Birds of a Feather" giveaway. I am in love with how colorful this set is. Also, the washcloths aren't my typical washcloths.... they're large washcloths. Each washcloth measure about 2.5 inches bigger than the regular washcloths. I listed the set in the shop this evening.

Tomorrw.... the cowboy blanket and working on a few new ideas I have up my sleeve!
